The case was at Benz Automobile Maintenance Plant in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. They are going to update automatic window openers in the maintenance area. Make sure every electric window opener is working well. In the meantime, these windows can provide fresh air for mechanics.

The plant had installed electric window openers about 8 years ago. The plant has installed one linear actuator on the right and one gas lift on the left. The systems with gas lifts are a relatively cost-down system as an electric window opener mechanism. But it was with a severe potential problem. When the window openers were going to close windows, the linear actuators retracted to close windows. In the meantime, the gas lift was continually pushing out. The brackets and the window frame are likely to be broken. It's also a side effect for linear actuators. We can see this from the following picture. There are many brackets broken.
Since this case was a replacement project, the electric circuits are also very old. We invited 20 years experience mechanic to in charge.
In the beginning, he removed all old linear actuators and gas lifts. And then check all windows are working well with manual opening and closing.
On the other side, workers are preparing new linear actuators for installation. We chose KST-A0116 linear actuators with 400 mm stroke length. It could open the windows to about 70 degrees to ensure enough ventilation. Our mechanic strongly recommends using the special handle for KST-A01 linear actuators. With this special handle, we could slightly change the direction of force to prolong the service lift and close windows more tightly.
This time we installed two linear actuators for each window. Ensure every window could evenly push out and pull back. Plastic conduits protected the DC cable.
The electric circuits were hiding inside the wall and window frames. Therefore, we only had to connect the DC cables with the power supply from the actuator controllers.
There are 20 windows on the first floor. An actuator controller was installed in the operating room. They use a wall switch to control all windows.
The following picture is old linear actuators. Some linear actuators are still working well, but their brackets are broken.
The plant was designed with a large ventilation area. It's cool and full of fresh air. The mechanics could concentrate on repairing these luxury cars. It's also very convenient for the manager to open and close windows with only one button.
KST-A01 linear actuators were inline designed, with excellent anodized treatment for anti-rust and abrasion.
